Board Minutes

 

September 26, 2005 – 7:00 p.m.
Pizza Villa

Present were:

Sheri Irsik
Harold Walker
Peggy Bennett

The following slate of officers were nominated and voted upon.
President: Sherry Irsik
Vice-President: Harold Walker
Secretary: Debby Werth (with Marlene Miles assisting)
Treasurer: Dana Plagman

 

The Board decided upon the following meetings and activities for the coming year:

January meeting: January 10, 2006


Agenda:
• Introduce new board members and officers
• Present the 2006 budget
• Present the plan of activities for 2006
• Invite our community policeman to talk to the members
• Ask attendees to complete a survey for an association directory.
• Encourage homeowners to pay their dues on time

4/15/05 – Easter Egg Hunt

5/20/06 – Spring Clean Up Event
10/14/06 – Fall Clean Up Event
• Both events would include clean-up of common areas asking for assistance from local boy scout and girl scout troops. The Association would also request the City leave large dumpsters (perhaps in the Church Parking Lot) so residents could clean out and toss their unwanted items.
• The Spring Clean Up Event would include morning donuts for everyone arriving to clean up before 9 a.m.
• The Fall Clean Up Event would include a hot dog roast at the Pawnee Park Shelter. Clean Up would again start at 9 a.m.

8/1/06 -- National Night Out
A marketing plan with a budget will be created at a later date.

The quarterly Neighborhood Newsletter would continue.

Kristy Woodworth attended the meeting and discussed the following items:
• The paperwork necessary to change the bank accounts signature information for check writing purposes
• Turn over the key to the post office box
• Provided the login and password to the email box
• Suggested we have our insurance agent come to an upcoming Board Meeting to discuss Board liability issues.

Sheri wanted to make certain we all continued to encourage residents to plant trees and to let residents know there was $10 available to homeowners who planted trees. This information will be included in the next newsletter.

We all learned there were 207 houses in our Association. Discussion took place about various challenges in our neighborhoods. It was decided that perhaps our homeowner’s association covenants needed to be tightened. The Board decided that they’d like to talk with an attorney to learn how the covenants could be changed.

With no further information to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.

The next meeting of the Board will be on October 10, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at Pizza Villa.
